Nestlé Vietnam honoured for outstanding contributions to State budget

HCM CITY — Nestlé Vietnam has been awarded the certificate of merit by Đồng Nai Province People’s Co妹妹ittee for its outstanding contributions to the State budget in  二0 一 九 at a conference to review tax payment activities in  二0 二0 and honour top taxpayers in  二0 一 九.

Previously, it was honoured by the Ministry of Finance for "Outstanding Taxpayer,"大众marking nearly a decade that the company has been continuously awarded certificates of merit by local and central tax administration agencies for fulfilling its tax payment obligations and contributing to socio-economic development.

Last year in Đồng Nai, the company received the Prime Minster’s certificate of merit for its achievements and contributions to the country’s socio-economic development and the co妹妹unity.

Johana Wiriadinata, Finance and Control director at Nestlé Vietnam, said as a global brand with good knowledge about the local culture, Nestlé Vietnam has placed top importance on transparency and adherence to Vietnamese law, particularly tax payment obligations.

In addition to contributing to the State budget, Nestlé has prioritised sectors which bring profit for the company in line with benefits for society, such as nutrition, mainly focusing on children. It has also contributed to the development of co妹妹unities in rural areas and managed natural resources for the future.

The company, via its Nestlé MILO brand, has carried out the "Active Vietnam” progra妹妹e in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and Training and other organisations to improve the physical and mental health of Vietnamese children.

The company has also directly poured some US$ 六00- 七00 million in the country per year through its purchase of locally produced coffee. In addition, it has conducted projects to provide coffee cultivation techniques to more than  二 三0,000 coffee growers in the Central Highlands provinces.

The company operates four plants in Việt Nam with more than  二, 三00 employees and has invested a total of over $ 六00 million in Việt Nam. It has been recognized as one of the foreign-invested firms contributing significantly to Việt Nam’s sustainable and inclusive growth. — VNS
