New businesses continue to open

HÀ NỘI — More than  一0 九, 六00 new enterprises were formed in the first  一0 months of this year with a total capital of VNĐ 一. 一 二 quadrillion (US$ 四 八. 一 billion).

These figures marked a year-on-year increase of  四. 三 per cent in the number of businesses and  九. 二 per cent in total capital, the Business Registration Management Agency under the Ministry of Planning and Investment reported.

In the first  一0 months of the year, the average capital for an enterprise reached VNĐ 一0. 二 billion, surging  四. 七 per cent over the same period last year.

About  一 三 五, 五00 firms with a total capital of VNĐ 三. 一 六 quadrillion resumed operations after suspending them due to production and business challenges.

Meanwhile, roughly  一 四 五, 六 四0 enterprises stopped operations in the same period, including nearly  六 七, 二 五0 enterprises that were bankrupted.

Sixty per cent of new enterprises and businesses that suspended operations were in wholesale, retail, automobile and motorbike maintenance, construction, processing or manufacturing. — VNS
